Real life speed vs. Internet speed

Funny picture ;-)

But I was just thinking that real life, i.e. outside the Internet, can be really annoying, slowed down by bureaucracy, especially in Italy.

For example, before going to Indonesia, I decided to subscribe to Wired Italia magazine: "please allow N weeks before delivery" ! That's common for magazines, but I still cannot accept it (btw, I still have not received any magazine issue yet...).

Luckily I also have a good example about public health service in Bologna, my town:
I took a blood sample and a lady told me I would receiving the results by mail.

In case I was in a hurry I could freely receive results by e-mail (PDF) with a mobile SMS free alert. It worked, it rocks!
